Monochrome Froggie CAS Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

Hi everyone :-D

Today it´s my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Monochrome Froggie CAS Card

I used super cute image 'Kiss Me Froggie' from 2013 Good Luck Froggies ReleaseYes, froggie again! I can't help myself, but I love the whole collection and want to make something with all of them. :-D

"Frogs are symbols of prosperity, wealth, friendship, and abundance in many cultures. In other cultures they symbolize fertility. In the Native American culture of the Southwestern United States, the frog carries a piece of wood in its mouth because the Mojave people believe frogs brought fire to humans. For the ancient Romans, the frog was believed to bring good luck to one's home. Native Aborigines of Australia believe that frogs brought the thunder and rain. Frogs are said to be effective in speeding up recovery from disease. Among the ancient Egyptians and Greeks, frogs symbolized inspiration and fertility. In ancient Egypt, Hekt, the frog goddess, protected newborn babies, hence frogs were symbols of fertility and birth. The frog is also said to attract true friends and to help find long-lasting love."

Details about my card...

Image is paper pieced
I printed two froggies on a white cardstock paper, one on the white panel and second on a small piece. I colored the image printed on the piece of cardstock paper with colored pencils, blended colors with paper blending stump and baby oil, fussy cut it, colored edges with black permanent pen and glued it over the second image (image printed on white panel).

Card dimensions are 108 mm x 139 mm (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").

Altered Kraft Paper Bag (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #48 Mid Inspiration)

Happy Friday everyone :-D

Today I'm posting my mid-inspiration project for ongoing Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Dilly Beans Digi Stamps, with an awesome prize for our random winner: 3 digital images of winner's choice.
http://www.sillydillybeans.blogspot.com/

I made an Altered Kraft Paper Bag, using our sponsor's lovely image 'Crinkles Hearts Framed'. I used real stitches on my project.

I printed the image on a white cardstock paper and colored it in watercoloring technique, using Distressed Inks and aquarell colored pencil, water and brush. When it was dry, I fussy cut the image and colored edges with black pen.

I printed one more image on Kraft packing paper and glued colored image over it.

I glued a fabric on the paper bag and sewn upper corner with red sewing thread.

Then I glued piece of corrugated cardboard and the image on the bag and sewn two wooden flowers on it. Finished! :-D

Orange Butterfly Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #118)

Happy Friday everyone :-D

It´s time for a new challenge at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

The theme for this fortnight is #118, Federn + Flügel / Feathers + Wings.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sweet 'n Sassy with an awesome prize for one lucky winner: 3 digital stamps.
http://www.sweetnsassystamps.com/

For this challenge I made this CAS (clean and simple), Orange Butterfly Card, using our sponsor´s beautiful image 'Everyday Miracles Digital Stamp'.

I printed an image and sentiment on a panel (white watercoloring paper). I colored a butterfly with aquarell colored pencils in watercoloring technique. After the butterfly was dry, I covered it's wings with gloss resin gel to create glossy accents

After drying, I added dimensional foams behind the panel to add some dimension to the card. I like this on CAS cards. :-D

Card dimensions are 101 mm x 146 mm (4" x 5 3/4").
